This week’s BOLD LAW…” Don’t mistake movement for achievement “
This can be a tricky one as we sometimes equate being really busy as progress towards our goals.. When asked how you’re doing , it’s really easy to say , ” Wow, I’m really busy ! “. That’s a natural response.
We all have a ” to-do ” list. The question we always have to be aware of is this…, are we busy working on the 20% of what we really need to get done to propel us toward our success or are we staying busy on the 80% that is more of a task list and is not vital to us moving forward ? Be careful of the 80%. Obviously, it’s easy to fill most of our day with the 80% and if we constantly attempt to do that first, the 20 % never really gets done and we are always ” busy ” but never really growing towards a different level of success. That is movement without achievement.
And, even if we do get all the 80% done , ( which is just about never ), there will be more 80 % piled on to us tomorrow ! That’s just the way it is. The truth is that most of the 80 % can wait because the really important ones will get done and the less important ones won’t…they may even disappear because they really were never that important !
Get the 20% done first..every day..first thing…then worry about the 80%…
Achievement, not just movement !
