It’s not about selling real estate, it’s about following a schedule.
There is another BOLD Law that states: “If it’s not on your schedule , it doesn’t exist ” and that goes hand-in-glove with this week’s post.
Think of it this way: If it is on your schedule , it has potential. When it is acted upon , it becomes real. It’s the difference in describing a person who acts and one who accomplishes.
Imagine you overheard a colleague talking about you… would you rather hear, “… she has so much potential…” or “… it’s amazing how much she accomplishes in a day…” ?
I think the answer is obvious. Something on the calendar is just potential. Executing what is on the calendar is accomplishment. So , it really is about following (executing) a schedule if you want to be accomplished, isn’t it ?
What are the five key results activities of a real estate agent? Are you following them as priorities every day? These are the income generating activities. Put a “$” next to each of these on your calendar – and count how many “$” you have at the end of each day and week. What percentage of the total activities on your schedule have a dollar sign? How much more could you earn by executing those activities daily?
Don’t remember the 5 jobs? Here they are: 1) Lead Generation. 2) Lead Follow Up. 3) Going on appointments. 4) Negotiating contracts. 5) Script and dialog practice.
How many of these are in your calendar? How often? And how often are they executed?
Be accomplished – not just a potential.
